[Trilogy II] In December of 1986, Trilogy completed a 55' catamaran, aptly named TRILOGY 2. T-2, as she is known to the crew, was the first composite/epoxy vessel built in the Hawaiian Islands and the first of its kind certified by the United States Coast Guard. Two years later, they added a 46' racer/cruiser trimaran to their Discover Molokini operation and christened her TRILOGY 4. In July of 1991, they completed another composite catamaran, this time a 51' high-tech sailing machine called TRILOGY 3.

And, perhaps most note-worthy was the retirement, in 1993, of the original TRILOGY after 22 years, 165,000 miles, and well over 100,000 passengers! She was replaced by a new 64' Searunner sailing catamaran that will carry on the TRILOGY name for at least another 22 years!

[Trilogy V] In September of 1996, a 54' Searunner catamaran was completed at the Shaw Boat Works in Aberdeen, Washington, and sailed across the Pacific by Trilogy crew. T-5 replaced T-4 at Maalaea and sails daily to Molokini. In early 1998, Trilogy took delivery of a 32' rigid aluminum inflatable vessel (RAIV) to cater to the serious scuba diver and provide a wide range of Adventure Rafting Excursions including the popular Blue Water Snorkel & Dolphin Watch.

In August of 2000 Capt Jim and crew sailed the next generation Trilogy Catamaran across from the mainland. Trilogy 6, built by Pacific Rim Yachts, incorporates many of the best features of the other Trilogy boats and at 55' x 30' she is stable, fast, and lots of fun!

TRILOGY's Lana'i based operation is known as TRILOGY OCEAN SPORTS/LANA'I and provides a complete ocean recreation program for both the Manele Bay Hotel and the Lodge at Koele. With a full-time staff, TRILOGY OCEAN SPORTS offers sailing, snorkeling, scuba diving, sunset sails, whale watching, private charters, complimentary poolside scuba instruction, and a full range of scuba certification classes.

In 2001 Trilogy added Discover Kayaking to all the daytime Lanai trips. The Lanai Eco-Adventure is designed especially for anyone who wants to take ocean recreation to the next level. Trilogy's Discover Kayaking combines all the features of our Original Discover Lanai, with a 3 hour Kayak and Snorkel paddle along Lanai's remote and protected south shore.

30 years have changed these islands profoundly, and Trilogy is proud of the part it has played in making those changes positive. One thing hasn't changed, however. That is Trilogy's commitment to showing our guests the very best day of their vacation!
